Dr. Lourdes Rodríguez is a practicing plastic surgeon with six years of postgraduate studies at the University of Brazil Santa Casa Da Misericordia in Rio de Janeiro and at the Federal Fluminense University in Niterói. These are high-level educational institutions where she completed her General Surgery and specialized in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with high marks.
In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she completed her Doctor of Medicine studies at the Ibero-American University (UNIBE) in 2011. She completed her high school and primary education at Colegio Loyola in the same city.
During her studies in Brazil, due to her academic commitment and discipline, she was selected to serve as the Chief Resident of her class, becoming the first foreigner to achieve this distinction. In the end, she was recognized with the highest rating for her graduation thesis, scoring 10 out of 10 points.
In her training as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, she had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Prof. Antonio Sergio Guimarães, a recognized eminence in the world of plastic surgery and the first microsurgeon trained outside of Brazil.
As part of her professional development, she underwent several rotations in Plastic Surgery at hospitals in Brazil and at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, USA.
Her professional practice as a plastic surgeon has been guided by her strong vocation for service and social sensitivity, cultivated from childhood in her home and through her Christian upbringing. She has written several papers and articles that have been published in surgical congresses. She is currently a member of the Dominican Society of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (SODOCIPRE). Her practice is based in the Corazones Unidos professional tower, known for its high quality of service.
